From April 1, 2007 to the end of March 31, 2008, the Province of Saskatchewan received 1726 subdivision applications and approved 4251 sites. This is a 72% increase in sites approved over the 2006/07 year of 2468 sites approved.

This unit gathers, reviews, records, analyses and reports on audited municipal financial statement information and mill rate survey information.

Services

The Municipal Financial Information unit provides the following services to municipal administrators, clerks, and auditors:

  • interpretation and guidance on Public Sector Accounting Board standards;
  • advice and guidance on filing municipal financial information returns;
  • interpretation of legislation as it relates to reporting and filing municipal financial information;
  • direction and instruction on filing financial information on-line; and
  • analyses and statistical reporting on data gathered.
