Did You Know? In an effort to ensure municipalities are ready for growth, the provincial government announced the Saskatchewan Infrastructure Growth Initiative in the 2008-09 budget. Through the program, municipalities will be able to access $300 million over four years for five-year, interest-free loans to assist with the cost of lot development to support housing, commercial and industrial construction. Grant/Financial Assistance Programs Community Share 2006Community Share 2006 On February 6, 2006, the Premier of Saskatchewan announced $32 million in one-time unconditional capital funding (Community Share 2006) to be paid to all municipalities in the 2005-06 fiscal year.
