Did You Know?

In an effort to ensure municipalities are ready for growth, the provincial government announced the Saskatchewan Infrastructure Growth Initiative in the 2008-09 budget. Through the program, municipalities will be able to access $300 million over four years for five-year, interest-free loans to assist with the cost of lot development to support housing, commercial and industrial construction.

We request that each municipality complete a Mill Rate Survey Return reporting on taxable assessment and levies.

Mill rate survey information provides statistical information on tax assessment and levies. It is used to analyse:

  • The amount of tax that will be collected per property class;
  • Municipal use of tax tools;
  • Use and impact of uniform mill rates and mill rate factors; and
  • Special tax levies applied and used.

Please see the "Related Documents" section to download the forms municipalities are asked to complete and return to Municipal Affairs.
