In 2011, 73 municipalities celebrated their 100th anniversaries.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) monthly housing reports including Regina and Saskatoon. Housing start statistics coincide with building permits approval as an indication of construction activity.

Housing conditions and trends in each province and Census Metropolitan Area.  This website provides historical information which can be used to indicate the level and direction of growth based on annual housing statistics.

The Government of Saskatchewan released a strategy that involves the entire housing sector and promotes a housing environment where all Saskatchewan people have access to homes that enhance their well-being, build local communities and contribute to a growing province. 

Municipal and provincial planning and development websites. These authorities provide tools and services to assist municipalities with community planning and development.

The "Planning for Growth" program provides an opportunity for groups of communities to demonstrate the value of: partnerships and collaboration; the economic, social, and environmental opportunities across a region; the benefit of developing and implementing a strategy, agreement or plan for growth; and, the value of developing professional planning capacity in support of short and long term objectives for economic growth. 

The $1.1 million Planning for Growth (PFG) program seeks to enhance regional planning capacity and establish best practices facilitating sustainable growth and development across the province.

Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency's (SAMA) annual confirmed municipal assessment roll reports. Property assessment reflects growth to the property assessment roll for property tax purposes after new construction is completed.

Building permit statistics from selected Saskatchewan cities. Building permits provide an indication of the start of actual construction activity.

Economic and quality of life information for communities and regions in Saskatchewan, including population statistical data which can be used as a potiential indicator of growth.
