Municipal Affairs has created a new and improved municipal election results electronic form, eliminating the need to mail-in or fax your municipal election results. You can find a link to the Saskatchewan Municipal Election Results form in the list below.
Do you wish to seek a position for elected office in your municipality? See the Election Forms page (link below) for the appropriate nomination form to download. Contact your municipality for the nomination period.
- Form D-RM (for rural municipalities)
- Form I (for urban municipalities with a population of 20,000 or less)
- Form J (for urban municipalities with a population of 20,000 or more)
The next municipal elections occur as follows:
- Rural Municipalities - October 24, 2012 for reeves and councillors representing odd numbered divisions;
- Resort Villages - Saturday July 28, 2012;
- Cities and (southern) Towns and Villages - October 24, 2012; and
- Northern municipalities (Northern Towns, Northern Villages and Northern Hamlets) - the next general election is in 2012.
A summary of recent elections is as follows:
- In 2011, Rural Municipalities - October 26, 2011 for councillors representing even odd numbered divisions;
- In 2010, Rural Municipalities - November 3, 2010 for councillors representing odd numbered divisions and reeves;
- 2009 was an exciting election year in Saskatchewan.
- Resort Village elections were held July 25.
- Urban elections were held October 28.
- Rural Municipality elections were held November 4 for even numbered divisions.

In 2008, Rural Municipalities held elections for reeve and council positions in odd numbered divisions on November 5, 2008.

In 2007, Rural Municipalities held elections for reeve and council positions in even numbered divisions on October 31, 2007.
